PRLog (Press Release)Nov 26, 2007 – Former 60’s folksinger to attend Passim holiday auction


Ric Wasley, a former Folk Singer in Harvard Square Cambridge, MA. during the 60’s, will be returning to one of the premier music coffee-house’s as a guest at their annual Holiday auction. Like so many of the other young artists at the time, Ric got his start at Passim and the other Harvard Sq. coffee-houses and café’s that made up the folk music scene at that time.

   During this visit however, Ric will not be attending as a musician but rather as a published novelist.
   Ric is the author of the popular McCarthy Family Mystery series that is likewise set in Harvard Sq. during the late 60’s and features a pair of musicians who find themselves drawn into a series of deadly mysteries.
   In a recent interview, Ric admitted that he drew heavily on his own background as a musician and from real life experience during that time period, for many of the adventures of his protagonist’s in the books.

   Passim will be auctioning off at least two of Ric’s novels - Acid Test and the newest novel, Shadow of Innocence, at their upcoming Holiday Auction beginning at
