With operations spanning the US, India, Poland and the Ukraine, Phantom Data Systems, a self funding, debt – free VAR continues their push in becoming a major player in the VAR space.

Unia Telecom via a network of hardware and software technology partners provides domestic and international VOIP services. The company also provides hardware and software solutions for Voice – Data connectivity solutions. The merger bridges the gap between storage VAR and a voice – data transmission VAR. Ironically, both companies have operations spanning the globe, Including the US, India, Pakistan, Poland, and the Ukraine. The merger has resulted in plans to expand into the United Kingdom mid 2008.

“For a company that has been growing organically and self funding, this is a major step. We considered building out our own infrastructure but as a true VAR, this made no sense. We will continue to work with alternative vendors like Linux / Red Hat, AdTran, JBoss etc and our dedication to open source remains unflinching.” said Alani Kuye, Managing Partner of the Connecticut based solutions provider. “There has been a lot of support from both clients and partner as well. We tend to partner primarily with alternative vendors, and we ride the tide with them for the long haul. As we saw this coming down the road, especially with VOIP taking off, we had to evaluate the options” continued Alani. Andriy Pehknik, co – managing partner will assume responsibility for international operations while Alani Kuye will continue to preside over the organization.
