Teen Confidence: Holiday Survival

You will not want to miss this dynamic and passionate speaker and her topic is of the utmost concern for today's youth.  Through personal struggles and life choices, Rebecca understands that having self-confidence is key to future success. Having reached an astounding 349 pounds, Rebecca decided it was time to make a life change. She has successfully lost more than 200 pounds, but wants to educate adolescent girls that they are beautiful regardless of ethnicity, age, size, or geography - she is committed to changing the future one unique individual at a time.

True Beauty was created by Rebecca to educate, empower and engage women and girls of all ages for improved self-confidence, positive self-esteem and body-image through inspiration, social action, and discussion.

In 2005, the program and it's purpose was created out of a need for adolescent girls and women alike, to have access to not only a realistic role model - but the information needed to make positive lifestyle changes. In 2006, Rebecca became involved with the Dove Self Esteem Fund - thus promoting the issues of positive body image and self-esteem on a global level.

By being a facilitator through the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty, Rebecca now has more opportunity to reach individuals that truly need to improve their self confidence. Support through global organizations such as Dove, brings much needed attention - and solutions - to the ever prevelent issues surrounding the media and body image.
