“Making Ends Meet, Inc.” Using Internet for Single Mothers Family Fund
Jacksonville. FL – Making Ends Meet a nonprofit organization based in Jacksonville Florida is using the power of the internet to raise small sums of money from women across the United States. Monique Neeley would like to encourage women to donate $5 to create a nationwide fund for single working mothers in financial need. Her motivated mission gets off the ground tomorrow at http://www.singlemomsrescource.org
7.7 million (78%) of single mothers maintained their own household. Most of these mothers (69%) had no other adult in the home to help them out.
The money will be used to award grants and no interest loans from $150-$2500 to assist single moms with unexpected financial crisis. Many single mothers may not have any place to turn, they may resort to payday loans which charge them triple the interest to pay back.
But before any loans are made, money must be raised. Monique Neeley plans to spread the word to all women across the United States. The Single Mother Family Fund will be distributed to women in the form of small no interest mini loans. Neeley “ As soon as I describe our effortless concept of women raising money to be redistributed to single moms in financial need women and men want to make a donation. One third of custodial mothers do not have a child support order because they did not pursue child support or they could not locate the absent parent. We want to create a place solely for single working mothers in need when they are in financial distress.
