24 Hour Poker Marathon Is For Charity

PRLog (Press Release) – Nov 23, 2007 – On December the 29th a 24-hour poker marathon will be taking place in Warwickshire, in aid of the Myton House Hospice, comments Poker Genie.

The Hospice is trying to raise £5 million in order to refurbish and newly equip the facilities for its patients.The event is to be hosted by Ferd Hepburn of Enterprise Inns, as Recent changes to the Gambling Act have made it allowable to have low and no stakes poker in pubs, making this event a possibility. This event could prove to be one of many positive effects these changes to the Gambling Act have facilitated.

Although the Pub won't be able to serve alcohol throughout the stint, food will be supplied by local restaurants to keep the gamblers energy up.
