Playgroundcops Does What Others Will Not To Protect Children Online.

Playgroundcops, a new website for parents announces their launch of a ‘children only’ website community

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Nov 16, 2007 – PlayGroundCops.com, a Canton, MI based networking community renown for its involvement with children’s internet safety, today announced the release of YoWuzUp.com.

YoWuzUp.com, an ad-free fun website for children ages 4 to 18, offers subscribers the opportunity to chat with other children, e-mail, play online games, and share photos in a safe secure environment.

What truly makes YoWuzUp.Com appealing is that parents have the ability to monitor their children’s surfing habits and communications through the master website, PlayGroundCops.com.

Mara Cruz of Waterford, MI, a subscriber to YoWuzUp, stated “The best thing about YoWuzUp.com is that my children have no idea they are operating in a protected website.  It has all of the coolness that Myspace offers, without me having to worry about some on-line predator trying to pick up my kid.”

Leander Richmond, developer of Yowuzup.com and PlayGroundCops.com stated, “Parents are beginning to realize that sites such as Myspace are selling advertising, not security. Children can easily become targets to sexual predators on these websites. Criminal Sex Offender registries, parental reporting, activity flagging and real time random monitoring are only a few of the features employed to ensure a safe experience for our young users.”

My advice to parents is to explain to their children that the internet is a privilege and there are dangers out there. Without boundaries in place, the entire family can be put at risk, not only to online predators, but other dangers such as identity theft and computer viruses and home invasion.

Through PlayGroundCops.com, parents have full access to their child’s YoWuzUp.com account and communication logs. Playgroundcops blocks access to registered sex offenders by checking the state and local registries and www.nsopr.gov and has vowed to report any registered offender seeking access to the proper authorities.

Membership to YoWuzUp.com is $4.99 per month for up to 8 children. A portion of which is used by Playgroundcops to create and fund addition programs that will keep children safe.

Parents interested in obtaining more information about YoWuzUp.com can visit the site or go to www.PlayGroundCops.com .
