The Energy Saving Trust is urging households to "think a little greener" this festive season after new figures estimated decorative tree lights could use as much energy as 5,500 FA Cup finals and enough carbon dioxide (CO2) to fill over 15,500 hot air balloons. An extravagant festive display could add a staggering £75 to your electricity bill, the equivalent of six weeks normal usage.
