The study found 10 major free press release distribution services that help websites rank better by placing an active link to the website. Search engines give websites that have a large number of links pointing to the site higher ranks than those with fewer amounts of links.
“As press releases distributed online hardly ever reach real journalists, the main goal for using such services should be to enhance search engine rankings. That is why we recommend submitting press releases to all of those services to get more links to your website,” explained Laja
