Optelian, optical transport supplier opens a support and service office in Bogota, Colombia

PRLog (Press Release)Nov 15, 2007 – Bogota, Colombia,  –  Optelian, a leading global provider of Optical Transport Solutions with facilities in Ottawa and Atlanta, is expanding its operations with the opening of a regional sales, training, service and support facility in Bogota, Colombia.  The purpose of this office is to support new and existing clients within the CALA (Caribbean and Latin America) region as well as to provide support for future CALA offices and support personnel.  

“I am excited to announce the opening of our new Colombian facility” said Dave Mills, Vice President Sales – The Americas. "A primary focus of Optelian’s CALA strategy is to have a local presence in key markets in order to focus on customer needs and customer service".  

Bogota, due to its central location, is uniquely positioned to support Optelian’s efforts throughout the entire CALA region. With a large onsite training center, Optelian will have regional presence to train groups of up to thirty engineers at a time.  

The new office is centrally located in the contemporary “Unicentro” area of Bogota’s Santa Barbra district.
