Throughout the week, Wag Pet Boutique joined Ark Angels Pet Care, Pet Foster Network and Homesitters of Raleigh and Cary in organizing a Triangle-wide collection drive. Participants were urged to donate pet food, beds, flea medicines, leashes, collars, toys and more. The donations will be distributed to organizations including Second Chance Pet Adoptions, C.A.R.E. For Animals, Feral Cat Friends and Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption.
“In our community there are hundreds of people, usually working quietly and without support, who open their homes to so many lost pets,” say Wag Pet Boutique co-owners Dan Headrick and Pam Guthrie. “This event was largely successful in helping these groups. We hope this collaboration will continue to serve the animal rescue community for years to come and Wag looks forward to future participation.”
On Saturday, November 10, Wag hosted an event to celebrate the success of the collection drive. The event also marked the “Grand Re-opening” of the store’s expanded health and nutrition center.
