SleepRestfully.com by Positive Air, Inc. of Houston, Texas, http://www.sleeprestfully.com a leader in the Sleep Apnea equipment and portable oxygen concentrator industry since 1971, announced that Respironics’ has released a new version of the Encore software specifically designed for patient use.  The original Encore software was designed for clinical use only, and recently was pulled from the market for distribution to patients because it allowed for the changing of prescribed settings and could pose a danger to the patient if a physician prescribed setting was inadvertently altered.  The new patient version or the Encore software allows a patient with Sleep Apnea to view all data recorded during their use of Respironics’ CPAP, Auto CPAP and BiPAP machines but does not allow changes to the prescribed settings or the erasure of data.  With the new Encore software a patient can safely access and view his/her compliance data and stay on top of their disease management.  SleepRestfully by Positive Air, Inc. has stocked this new patient friendly software and the Data Card Readers needed to download the Encore Data Cards.
