Dr. Chitranjan S. Ranawat of Ranawat Orthopaedic Center is a renowned orthopaedic surgeon in New York City. He is a professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, the New York Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Ranawat has held numerous leadership positions, including founder and president of the Knee Society, which presents its annual Ranawat Award to the best resident paper; president of the New York Society for Surgery of the Hand; president of the American Association of the Hip and Knee Surgeons, and president of the Eastern Orthopedic Educational Foundation.
