NextGen have apparently been to identify cancer stem cells, a development which means they could now be able to identify the characteristics unique to cancer cells therefore how to develop cell specific therapies eradicating all cancer stem cells.
Modern molecular biological tools utilized by NextGen have enabled their scientists to more effectively profile individual cells by their pattern of protein expression. It is this research that has enabled NextGen to not only identify the cancer stem cell but also create a fully comprehensive profile of it. This in turn enables scientists to take necessary steps towards the development of cell specific treatments. Researchers believe that such a treatment model is far superior to existing cancer therapies as it destroys malignant cancer cells but leaves healthy tissue intact.
