The most recent group of new Franchisees to attend the required week-long corporate training program includes; Jeremy Barkley and Mauricio Tafoya of Scottsdale, AZ: Jeremy worked for the U.S. Navy for 5 years and aspired to petty officer 3rd Class.  During his time with the Navy he worked as a Helicopter Mechanic. Jeremy continued his education in aviation obtaining a license in airframe and power plants. He is looking forward to the many rewards which come from being self-employed. Maurico’s background is in customer service and he has a natural ability for sales. Jeffery Nield, the new franchise owner from Indianapolis, IN has been in sales for over 25 years during which he managed a Ziebart Franchise for 5 years winning 3 national contests for sales. A natural entrepreneur, Jeff later started his own business selling disposable goods to car dealers for their service departments and has been successfully operating his business for the last 18 years. Joe Coen and Todd Smith, both from Charelston, SC have joined forces to form a partnership in opening the first of many MonitorClosely.com franchises.  Joe is a 1985 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Systems Engineering. He served as an engineering officer onboard a strategic ballistic missile submarine during the cold war.  Joe designed his first security and surveillance system for the US Marine Corps in 1990. He has designed and installed systems at virtually every US Marine Corps installation and numerous US Navy, US Army and US Air Force Installations worldwide. Joe leads a team of engineers and technicians that specialize in design and installation of surveillance and security systems at locations protecting weapons, aircraft and sensitive information for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies. Todd is a 1994 graduate of the United States Naval Academy also with a degree in Ocean Engineering. He served as a Surface Warfare Officer and a Civil Engineer Corps Officer while on active duty. He still serves as a naval reserve officer. After leaving active duty, Todd began a successful career managing the design and installation of surveillance, security, and mass notification systems for the U.S. Department of Defense worldwide. He is a licensed engineer in South Carolina and a certified Project Management Professional. Sylvie Menasce-Anderson, the franchise owner from Columbus, OH has a BA from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Her discipline is in customer service, marketing, and health care. Sylvie is a natural entrepreneur having successfully owned and operated a wholesale auto broker business in Florida. Additionally, she has worked as a Director in Market Research. Todd Hartz, from Hockessin, DE has over 20 years leading the developing and maintenance of enterprise supply chain management systems for all sizes of organizations on a global basis.  This has made Todd familiar with the requirements of real-time management systems in high-volume manufacturing and distribution operations, as well as remotely monitored sites.   In partnership with his son Darryl, he will be providing state-of-the-art solutions to clients across Northern Delaware and South-eastern Pennsylvania.
