(THE CRADLE OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT)
(FREEDOMJOURNAL UPDATE)
Greetings Brethren,
Peace be unto you. Beloved we pray that you will not come to deny or challenge our message as we only seek to obey God. Thus we have no voice regarding His decisions and commissions.
We bear witness that as the righteous man Noah and the prophet Jeremiah cried out to the people most of the people did nothing. They came sincerely, inspired by God crying and pleading to the people but very few listened. Meanwhile the messengers were given all kinds of negative labels. The disobedience exhibited among the people was not to them but to God. This disobedience ran as full as the floodwaters produced by hurricane Katrina.
All that refused to hear Noah died. When Jeremiah talked they still did not listen. However they continue to die. As we look blessed by God with eyes to see we mourn. The Spook had eyes in the back of his head. He also was a participant observer.
Where was this place?
Many days the inspired toward righteousness looked out upon his surroundings. This was a place noted to be a great grouping and gathering place for those with various common interests. Within these surroundings was found what some described as a Black Mecca. A Mecca though for what? Also was Black untainted here?
Meanwhile at this place many people of the Diaspora bloomed in economic, and political progress. In various social arenas and circles great cliques emerged. Many also had special interests. Often these interests generated jobs and the loss of jobs. All things not Kosher as many that were weak fell down.
The Black back-eyed man walked on the grounds of schools that claimed to learn higher. He saw many schools gathered in a circle at this southern metropolis filled with flowers some blooming some dying. Life styles for men and women were shaped and molded at separate places of learning one for men and one for women. The others that were coed also had specific objectives that transcended into a calculated and missed education. Black Awareness became flawed and the political, and economic histories of the ancestors of the people from “The Land of the Blacks” became lost in planned superficial inaccuracy. The realties of the times of the motherland also became tainted as the military regimes and corruption spilled out over the land. Colonialism hid as Neo-Colonialism went under a rock. Meanwhile independence depended.
Those that came to lecture and sages of sorts spearheaded the move to shallow thoughts. And imagination had a great day. Training days were all the days at this place of worn, rotten ivy that covered broken down decaying fences. However those that resisted are could not be trained were cast to the swine. The independent thinkers were left only to gather the crumbs that were similar to those that came from the Masters table. Sad were these days because the Black back-eyed man always thought his brother would not throw him crumbs like a dog.
Meanwhile with some resources and numbers the population of the Diaspora continued to develop taking in those from Africa and throughout the Caribbean basin. Political power was realized in some measure. But what came first, was it economic power are political power? Can you have political power without economic power? Then do those with economic power automatically have political power? The pawns moved for those that held the gold.
There also stood some of the original champions of the Movement for Human Rights. Great leaders were said to arrive from this place. Some slain in battle some as old battle horses wearing tattered badges of marches and campaigns almost forgotten. There were also beaten leftover soldiers that came with a kind heart now not knowing the time of day. Many Preachers hollered for equal rights. They came with one foot in the church and one foot in the bank. The bank eventually won.
Others also hollered and the establishment won. The precedents were set.
“We will define racism, discrimination and also set the guidelines for the lost people of the Diaspora to follow. We only see racism and discrimination on a one-way street. This was a White street as the Black street was exempt.”
The people stepped backward but did not know. The Prophets were silent are thought to be with one voice. But how can a people prosper and develop with silent voices? Will the intellectuals place limits on free discussions?
Can you really forget where you came from? Many beloved, don’t know where they came from. The move to follow a wicked majority has caused most of the people of the Diaspora and all others that crowd the planet earth to wallow in ignorance as Truth is seen as the folly of the foolish and insane
Rest assured that a Utopia would only be found in life everlasting. But at least some semblance of good sense should reside at this place. Where do the Black directors of the Black Holocaust reside? A black fog thick as the soot and smoke from an oil fire descended over the land touching all in sight.
The Black back-eyed man slipped softly, silently through the night, as he knew his day would come. His silhouette touched all things around him. The moon pierced his body, his soul was alive he knew his Spirit would always be free.
