Chairman, African American Advisory Committee, National Court Appointed
Special Advocates for Children, DEE HORN to speak about abused and
neglected children
Bartow, Florida - IN THE KNOW with Tony Reeves, Esq., will conduct an interview with DEE HORNE on November 7, 2007, the Chairman of the African American Advisory Committee (AAAC) for the National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children.
The mission of the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)
Association, together with its state and local members, is to support
and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected
children so that they can thrive in safe, permanent homes.
The AAAC serves in an advisory capacity to the National CASA board of directors
and staff with respect to volunteer recruitment, policy issues and
identifying funding for targeted projects. Additionally, one of the AAAC’s key
roles is community outreach and finding ways to share volunteer opportunity
with more African Americans and engage individuals in the CASA / Guardian AD
Litem network.
As Chair of the AAAC for CASA, Mr. Horn is the champion for issues
related to African Americans serving and affected by the National CASA
organization.
