Design Challenge: Autumn Chic
Rockville, MD – Blissliving Home in partnership with Lan e-Mag and the Chinese Academy of Art is announcing the search for the next design talent for home lifestyle products through the Lan – Blissliving Home Global Design Competition. Aspiring designers are invited to create an original design for a new, complete bedding ensemble for Blissliving Home, the destination interior lifestyle brand for the stylish consumer seeking modern design with a global touch.
Blissliving Home is challenging designers to create an innovative, unique design for a bedding ensemble that interprets an Autumn Chic aesthetics telling a romantic and elusive story in soft cosmetic colors. Drawing from both nature and fashion, Autumn Chic is a trend combining pastoral landscaped and lady-like influences from ready-to-wear with hints of masculinity in modern construction and lines.
Competing designs will be judged on design, creativity and technical innovation by a panel of leading designers, photographers, home lifestyle editors, and television anchors.
The winning design will be produced, featured, and sold within Blissliving Home’s fall/winter 2008 collection – giving budding designers the opportunity to showcase their talent and to break into the interior lifestyle industry.
The Lan-Blissliving Home Global Design Competition will reward first prize, second prize, and third prize winners with an once-in-a-lifetime journey to Beijing, where they will attend a glamorous award gala, providing the opportunity to meet with industry influentials and design legends. The Lan-Blissliving Home Global Design Competition will kick off on October 29, 2007 and will close on January 20, 2008. During that time period aspiring designers are invited to register and submit their creative work via Blissliving Home’s web site www.blisslivinghome.com.
In early February 2008 ten finalists will be announced via Blissliving Home’s web site and the public will be invited to have a sneak peek of the best new designs and to cast their votes. First place, second place, and third place winners will be formally honored in an awards gala in Beijing in late March 2008.
