The Seafood Cookery, the first book written by Watson, was originally published in 1983 and has been re-printed several times. This re-launch updates the look of the book and provides another printing of the edition. Watson welcomes the public to the re-launching of the Seafood Cookery.

I totally enjoy the whole process of coming up with an idea, developing it, researching, and writing. I also enjoy the next phase, taking your words to a final product. The print medium is something you can have, hold, set aside then go back to. I love to hold and own books, so it is very gratifying to be able to hold my own work and know that it will be here for a long time to come. "
Watson has received the Gold Canadian Food Culture Award for her cookbook Simple Pleasures from Out Maritime Kitchens and has written 25 books and hundreds of magazine articles.
