What To Give The Man (or Woman) Who Has Everything This Christmas

Give a charitable gift this Christmas. It will mean so much to so many people. A Mosaic Tile bought through the dedicated website helps fund vital research into colorectal disease

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Oct 29, 2007 – Not another designer garment, nor a titanium watch.  Not even a pair of bespoke shoes.

This Christmas you can give a gift that will mean something not only to the recipient but to many others – a Mosaic Tile at http://www.mosaicappeal.org.

£100 buys the tile of your choice on the Lion of St Mark’s and goes towards a half million pound appeal, raising funds for vital lifesaving research at St Mark’s Hospital, Harrow – a worldwide centre of excellence in research into and treatment of colorectal disease.  The original mosaic is on the outer wall of St Mark’s Hospital, Harrow and was commissioned when the hospital opened. This innovative on-line charity website is easy to use and interactive. Having bought your tile you can leave a message ‘underneath’ it.  Messages left to date including many of thanks to the hospital and its clinicians for saving a life.

The research undertaken at St Mark’s results in many pioneering treatments which allow a life to be saved which previously would have been lost.  Much of this research is funded through monies raised by the St Mark’s Hospital Foundation which set up the Mosaic Appeal.

Generosity during the season of giving will help the thousands of people each year who are successfully treated for a vast range of conditions – from bowel cancer to Crohns – at St Marks.
