ROHDE & SCHWARZ and Beceem Improve WiMAX™ Radio Testing

PRLog (Press Release) – Oct 26, 2007 – Beceem, a leading Mobile WiMAX™ terminal chipset developer, and Rohde & Schwarz, a world wide leader in test and measurement equipment, have teamed up to enable best-in-WiMAX RF performance test solutions for the WiMAX ecosystem.

The Rohde & Schwarz’ Radio Conformance, R&D and Production Test solutions have been optimized for Mobile WiMAX by testing with Beceem’s BCS200 baseband and radio chipset. A live demonstration featuring Beceem’s Mobile WiMAX terminal reference design in combination with Rohde & Schwarz’ Radio Conformance, R&D and Production Test solutions will be demonstrated at the TAIPEI WiMAX showcase, October 22nd thru 23rd.

The R&S TS8970 is currently undergoing validation testing at the WiMAX Forum® validation testing facility, while the R&S CMW270 is the first dedicated production tester providing an optional base station emulation capability, replacing the need for real base stations in the final functional testing.
