On Halloween, more can go bump in the night than ghosts and goblins. Without proper supervision, one of the most anticipated days of the year also has the potential to be one of the most dangerous. That’s why United Education Institute is opening its doors to members of the Chula Vista community for a day full of candy, trickery and fun activities.
The event will be held on October 31st. Trick-or-treat times are 11:00 am – 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm at the following campus locations:
• 310 3rd Ave., Ste. C6, Chula Vista, Calif., 91910
• 3666 Kearny Villa Rd., San Diego, Calif., 92123
UEI simply recognized a need for a safe day of trick-or-treating and decided to take action, according to Jim York, Campus President. When word got out that the school was going to host a Halloween event for neighboring children, staff and students rallied around the idea. Many of the students who attend UEI have children of their own.
“Nothing is more important than the safety of our children,” York said. “And, I think everyone wants to make sure these kids have some fun, too.”
Creative decorations will transform each classroom into a magic portal to an exciting trick-or-treat experience. Staff and students will pass out candy to those who are brave enough to enter. Who knows, the school might even have a costume contest for all children ages 12 and under … nothing is out of the question on Halloween!
