Spagnolo Gisness & Associates, Inc. (SG&A) and ING recently celebrated ING’s ribbon cutting ceremony at its innovative new 475,000 SF New England headquarters in Windsor, CT. Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell spoke at the event which officially opened the largest single office structure built in Greater Hartford in two decades.
“This project was the culmination of a tremendous effort that resulted in the creation of an extraordinary building on time and within budget,” stated SG&A founding principal, Al Spagnolo, “The design is progressive with timeless qualities and reinforces ING’s position as a global leader in the financial services.”
SG&A’s dynamic brand-central environment aligns with ING’s corporate identity while providing the ideal new home to the company’s U.S. Wealth Management and Retirement Services. The four story glass and steel structure features an airy, central atrium, two extensive wings, a large cafeteria, a fitness center and many other employee-oriented amenities, providing an attractive work environment for 2,200 of the company’s employees. The 76 acre site features substantial open space, walking trails and an outdoor terrace for socializing. The dramatic façade incorporates generous areas of high performance glazing that allows natural light to invigorate the workplace. The fourth floor loggia creates an opportunity for employees to dine outdoors with panoramic views.
