The most significant new features of the 2.2.0.7 release are Role Based Security, Auditing and support for Digital Downloads.
Users of the KonaKart Administration Application can now be allocated roles in order to define the functionality available to them and the privileges for using it. The privileges define how the data may be accessed (read / write / edit / delete) for each allocated function. This allows you to precisely tailor the features of the Admin Application for the users within your organization.
Auditing can be enabled on the Admin App API in order to keep track of when API calls are made and by whom. All audit data is written to the KonaKart database and can be viewed and filtered in the Admin App. The auditing may be activated selectively for inserts, edits, deletes, reads and the complexity of the captured audit data can be configured for “detailed”
This new release supports digital downloads which can be downloaded from the KonaKart on line store, as soon as payment is received for the products. A new section appears on the customer's Account page, with a link for each downloadable product in the order.
