Nirvino's new mobile versions allow users to search over 200,000 wine reviews and ratings from their Blackberries, Treos, iPhones, and other web-enabled mobile devices. Users can also browse predetermined lists of newly popular wines and lowest priced wines. Nirvino plans to add further functionality such as browsing by winery, grape, and region to its mobile versions in the near future.
"We got tired of looking at wine lists in restaurants and having no idea which bottles were worth selecting. Same goes for shopping in the grocery store or wine shop. With our mobile version I can look through a restaurant's wine list, type a few wines that look interesting into my iPhone or Blackberry, and make a much more informed decision on which bottle to purchase." said Christian Schroeder, founder of Nirvino.
