The new CDL Gateway from Monico Monitoring, Inc. delivers a faster, more cost effective way to communicate with Caterpillar industrial & marine engines, generator sets, and construction equipment without any intermediary devices. This means a savings of up to $1,500 per installation. And the savings go beyond money. The CDL Gateway also saves time – it operates at 10 times the speed of previous devices and greatly reduces field setup time.
The CDL Gateway is also flexible enough to output data in around 100 different formats and protocols. While it still has the capability to output CAT engine data in the widely used Modbus format, the CDL Gateway can also communicate using BACnet – a language that is commonly used in the building management system industry.
Additionally, the CDL Gateway system can provide engine data in tables specifically designed for Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) manufacturers such as Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Giddings & Lewis, Honeywell, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and more. The CDL Gateway provides final, usable data to PLC programmers – without requiring any additional devices or conversions. With a single CDL Gateway, a user can gather data from a variety of sources using one device and present the data in a combined table using any number of formats.
The CDL Gateway is only the first of the next generation of CDL products. The upcoming CDL product line expansion includes the MonicoView HMI (Human-machine Interface) Gateway. This new product line will be available in 30-60 days and will feature models ranging from 3” Monochrome to 15” color touch screens.
