When 13 year old Savannah Britt, owner of Girlpez Fashion Inc., saw a vision she went for it. She thought that a magazine dedicated to teen girls only could help the world. She then went for the idea. Girlpez Fashion Inc. was founded in December of 2006. Since then, Girlpez has done numerous things to help make a difference. The main focus of Girlpez is to provide a high-quality magazine just for girls between the ages of 12 and 16. The magazine is filled with fashion advice, self-esteem development, world news, and celebrity happenings. The articles included in the magazine are sent in from girls around the world! Britt never thought the business would become so big.
And now, Savannah is preparing for one of the biggest events in her life, the magazine’s first actual high fashion photo shoot. The shoot is being held on October 20th at Voorhees’s Wingate Inn and will feature clothes from different designers and boutiques. The shoot will include three south Jersey middle school-aged girl models who will model at least six different outfits each. The photo shoot is open to the public to come and watch. Tickets are available at the door for $10 and VIP tickets are $15. The shoot will begin promptly at 12:00 and ends at 2:00. “The shoot planning took a lot of time and commitment,”
The photo shoot is anticipated to be the magazine’s centerpiece for its November-December issue, which is due to hit store shelves November 15th, 2007.
