We have visitors from around the world that really make for an interesting message board or forum, as there called today. What makes our forum unique is the wide selection of topics that you can choose from. Most forums are geared towards just one topic. At TalkCafe, we know there are people that visit us with all types of interest. From discussing asparagus to zebras, our forum covers topics of all interest. With some exceptions.
We do not discuss anything, however. Adult (porn) topics, videos and pictures at TalkCafe.net are prohibited. There are plenty other forums that "specialize"

We have certain "hot topics" that always draw a crowed. Remember the old saying, "There is two things you don't discuss with friends"? You know the answer, it is "politics and religion". Well, at TalkCafe.net, we DO discuss politics and religion! By doing so we have "stirred the puddin" so to speak, but we find that's what gets people talking, thats what puts a fire under their pants. In our "Politics and Government" section, there are discussions about the Iraq war. Discussions about our politicians that are clamoring for the presidency. Under the "Religious" category, we have people talking about the existence of the devil, what is the one true religion and why? Our forum makes people think or ponder questions and subjects they might never have thought about. That's the power of a great general talk forum. We bring people from all over the world, discussing all types of subjects to an online meeting place, a talk "Cafe" so to speak.
We have a topic under "Rants and Raves" about a lady who is going through a really tough time with her husband, he is quite ill. That drew a large amount of comments from members and visitors alike, pouring out a lot of sympathy and moral support to this lady. It shows a forum can not only be a place to share topics and opinions, have political and religious debate, but be a personal conduit to share feelings with each other as well. Its well known that a forum, like a blog, is one of the best places to find out current events before even the mainstream media has. These events can be political or societal in nature.
There may be events (for one reason or another) the mainstream media won't or can't cover. But, thanks to the Internet and talk forums like TalkCafe.net along with the "blogosphere"
