Also noteworthy is a large 18th C. oil of Scotland's Black Watch, a superb collection of c.1900 Italian miniatures on bone, a striking 20th C. modern gouache of lower Manhattan, a series of c.1929 German Expressionist portraits and a charming 1920's "Le Terrier" floral still life by William Malherbe.
Owner and founder Ronan Clarke notes the range and strength of the current inventory, "We've found great WPA period, Mid-Century American, classic European, and contemporary art in estates and our consignors have given us some unique pieces as well. For example, we have a collection of wonderful mid 40's to mid 50's pieces by little known Ray Wendell, a great 1955 John Wilde, two rescued Thomas Nasts, a large bronze by Sidney Loeb, and a superb oil by ET Quinn titled "The Potter", exhibited widely in 1891, but hidden thereafter."
