Sharon Edmondson, President of Vegas Career Connection is pleased to announce that the company has expanded their services to now include Video Resumes.
Vegas Career Connection now provides access to online video resumes so their clients can receive maximum exposure and increase their chances of finding the right career opportunity. A new web page with important online links has been unveiled on the company’s site and it has received an enthusiastic response.
William Dunch, Executive Vice President of VCC has been involved with the video resume industry for a couple of years. Mr. Dunch suggests that, “if a candidate is comfortable with the concept of video resumes, then Vegas Career Connection can provide valuable assistance and expertise to make it happen.”
Vegas Career Connection provides advice to those who want to use a video resume to promote themselves in an environment that’s the next best thing to ‘live and in person’. VCC assists clients with free video resume posting through high profile web venues such as CareerBuilder and YouTube.
Ms. Edmondson acknowledges that, “video resumes are not for everyone and they should be used in situations where they will enhance one’s job search.”
With video resumes, a candidate can add personality to a paper resume and make an additional impression on employers. Employers benefit because they can learn more about a candidate before an in-person interview is held.
Surveys show that 60 percent of human resource professionals expressed some interest in viewing video resumes of potential candidates. Nearly half of job seekers expressed some willingness to post a video resume to capture the attention of prospective employers.
The concept of video resumes has received increased media attention with recent reports in TIME, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal.
