For the first three years, his wife Jennifer and a several employees ran the day-to-operations of the business. However, it wasn't until 2005 when Mr. LaPointe quit his traveling job to work full-time on the business.
The reason Mr. LaPointe started the company was due to his personal experience. "During my finance career, I logged over 75,000 airline miles per year and I experienced lower back pain that was due to sitting in airline seats, rental cars and sleeping in hotel beds. The pain soon became unbearable and I needed a solution… and being from Northern Michigan, I always heard about the natural health benefits of the tart cherry…and within a few weeks of drinking tart cherry juice my lower back pain was gone," said Mr. LaPointe.
