Fairfield pressings pvt. Ltd. Announces expansion plans -to set up state-of-the-art “press line with robotic system ”-

PRLog (Press Release)Sep 28, 2007 – M/s Fairfield Pressings Pvt. Ltd, a company spearheaded by Mr. V.M. Jagtap and engaged in the business of supplying pressed sheet metal auto components/sub.Assy to major Indian Vehicle manufacturers based out of Ranjangaon announced its expansion plans today.

Fairfield Pressings Pvt. Ltd was formed in 1982 with a small activity in PCMC Industrial Area and later shifted to MIDC Ranjangaon in year 2001 with an expansion plan at hand.
Fairfield Pressings Pvt. Ltd. currently has an industrial land of one-hectare with 60% of the land as covered area.  Currently they have 40,000-sq.ft built-up area with a pre-engineering structure with another 10,000 sq ft to be built shortly.

The company has been supplying components/sub.Assy. to Fiat India Ltd. for about five to six years for their Palio Car model and will be catering to the new car model “Punto” . Besides, the company is in talks with Tata Motors Car Division for obtaining new business.

The total investment of about Rs.12 crores is already made at this plant, under most scrutinized expenses pattern to assure every possible need in respect of an industry is fulfilled without incurring unnecessary/unproductive expenses.  

Sharing his future plans Mr. V.M. Jagtap M.D.  Fairfield Pressings Pvt Ltd said, “We are having discussions with authorities of Asia Motors Works , and further negotiations are planned to explore the possibility of entry in the business association. We will be supplying to their new small capacity utility vehicle”. We also have plan to discuss with new players like G.M. , Volkswagen etc. To our utmost satisfaction; their interest in our capacity and capability is encouraging.

The current set up has an excellent lay out of large bed press line, which has four numbers of 400 T British Clearing Mechanical Presses and suitably supported by other imported 250T/ 160T/ 150T/ 100T Mechanical and Hydraulic presses.
In addition to the above, Fairfield has already procured 800 T and 500 T Mechanical Presses from US and Europe for installing their second press line. The company has recently invested Rs.2crores in procuring the 800 & 500 tones Presses.

This new press line will have 1250 T- one, 800T – two numbers and 500 T – one press to accomplish complete press work in single line, flow process while utilizing automation and robotics for automatic material transfer between the line presses.

We are in process of finalizing a joint venture and equity participation with a US company, which will provide technical know how in latest trends of large bed sheet metal component manufacturing process with robotic welding facility to supply the complete module and have buy back arrangement for their European customers.

Nonetheless the present set up is also supported with conventional and special purpose tool room machines and design facility utilizing authorized Uni-Graphics and Auto Cad software from Delcam.
