From Friday till Sunday the world’s fastest monohulls will do battle for the final round of the 2007 Powerboat P1 World Championship as the glitz, glamour and excitement of international motorsport arrives in Portimão, Portugal.
The Marina de Portimão will become the focal point for the crowds gathering at the wet pits to see these stunning racing machines at close quarters, brush shoulders with the world’s top racing pilots whilst enjoying the packed entertainment program and P1’s unique atmosphere.
Entertainment on and off the water attended by huge crowds, Portimao is definitely the place to be for this ultimate water sport experience which includes helicopter displays, water ski demonstrations and an RFM stage featuring live music and autograph signing sessions. Further entertainment is provided by a Super Bock Fun zone, paint-balling, a military park and boat show.
On Saturday (29th) evening the focus of attention turns to Nikki Beach and the P1 Party hosted by RFM with international DJ Rob Di Stefano, RFM & Nikki Beach dj’s and Nikki Style entertainment - the late night party includes a spectacular firework display.
