SITS was founded in 1989 as a provider of infrared (IR) thermographic imaging services. Through the years, Stockton’s service lines have expanded to include building applications, electrical applications, mechanical applications and research and development and process control applications. SITS became renowned for its most popular service division, AITscan™, which performs aerial infrared applications. As the company expanded, it developed relationships with thermographers all over North America. As its reputation for superior infrared imagery grew and the demand for infrared thermography as a means of predictive/preventive maintenance (P/PM) increased, Stockton began to outsource some of its work and develop the network of thermographers and to assist them in growing and developing their own infrared businesses. SITS became an aggregator of services for its other service lines, especially electrical infrared.
