Turul Fever
Oshawa Turul S.C. announced today figures from its First Annual Rep Soccer Tryouts at Kluane Fields, Lakeview Park, Oshawa Ontario held the weekend of September 22 and 23, 2007. Club representatives were elated with the tryout weekend in attracting talent from around the region.
Club officials report that most teams had no fewer than 30 players lacing their cleats for a chance at a prized roster position during the tryout weekend. "Two new teams will be added immediately to our Club and others are being considered. Parents that played for Oshawa Turul when they were young are bringing their kids out to our tryouts," said Mike Davidson, President, Oshawa Turul S.C. "Our Club has a rich history of fostering a safe, fun and competitive atmosphere. This was a hugely successful event. It is a great spring board into next season as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. It is great to feel the buzz about Oshawa's elite soccer club."
The Club is reminding the community that interested players, coaches and teams can still approach Oshawa Turul executives and coaches throughout the year for other tryout information.
