Election 2008 @ spigit.com gives an overview of presidential candidates & their positions on the issues addressed throughout their campaign effort. Community members can evaluate candidates on popularity of their views, electability, and campaign effectiveness. The contributions are captured and are used to calculate a stock price for each candidate, where the community can 'trade' virtual shares in the candidates they believe have the best chance of success. Further, community members can earn spigit, which are accumulated by posting good content, as well as build their reputation based on the quality of their contributions, in effort to give them greater influence over results and the ability to be recognized for their expertise. Spigit will award prizes at the conclusion of the 2008 presidential election to the 'wealthiest' and most reputable members.
