mPact-RCF, Refrigerated Container Ozone Fumigation system for use in trucking, shipping, and rail “reefer” containers. The new unit is based on AMFIL’s centralized gaseous ozone systems which have been successfully used for fumigating fruit/vegetable cold storage facilities. Gaseous ozone has been used to reduce ethylene, combat mold and control harmful bacteria on fruits and vegetables while stored in cold storage rooms. AMFIL’
The mPact-RCF system is compactly designed for easy installation and removal from refrigerated containers. The system features an integrated ozone controller capable of delivering continuous ozone from 0.1 to 1.0 PPM for cross country rail & truck or seafaring containers. An onboard data port stores 40 days of ozone levels within the container during shipment. The ozone data is useful to show current or potential customers that ozone antimicrobial treatment was successfully applied during a specific commodity shipment.
The mPact-RCF features:
• Up to 1.0 PPM Residual Ozone Concentration
• Integrated Ozone Monitor/Controller with Display
• 40 Day Ozone Data Logging (Downloadable via Data Port)
• Electrical Requirements:
• NEMA-4X FRP Enclosure
“Companies interested in protecting and extending product life of their shipments will definitely like this product” remarked Matt Lowe, VP of Business Development at AMFIL Technologies. “We saw a huge gap in safety & quality once the product leaves the cold storage facility. The potential for mold and bacteria cross contamination in freshly loaded produce containers is huge,” stated Matt. “Our customers are very excited with the mPact-RCF capabilities especially since It offers the proven benefits of large commercial cold storage facilities but at a fraction of the cost and size,” he noted.
Customers looking to see the mPact-RCF system in action can contact AMFIL directly to request a demo model.
