Responding to “inequities in market pricing,” Kunati Inc., a Canadian publisher who is a a famous for “controversial and edgy” books is setting Canadian pricing at near-par with US pricing. Kunati International, will simultaneously publish all Kunati book titles in the USA. “Kunati Inc is Canadian-owned, books are Canadian printed and we’re distributed at near-par pricing with the USA through Canadian Manda Group and various wholesalers,”
“Even our spring 07 titles will be rolled back to near-par pricing,” Mr. McKinnon explained. “With the Canadian dollar at near-par, pricing should be too.” Other -publishers have been slow to move on this issue, allowing US online retailers to have an unfair advantage over Canadian retailers, or lowering by a token amount. “We’re committed to fairness to our customers.”
With the Canadian dollar already hovering at near par, Kunati's publisher has indicated it will keep adjusting pricing accordingly. For details of breaking Kunati news and pricing: www.kunati.com
