David Paulson of Helms Mulliss & Wicker Recognized as a 2007 Mover & Shaker

PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 18, 2007 – David Paulson, managing partner of the Helms Mulliss & Wicker Raleigh office, has been recognized by Business Leader magazine as a 2007 Mover & Shaker.  The award honors 36 business professionals who have made a significant impact through community involvement by participating in volunteer activities while maintaining professional credibility and success.

Under Paulson’s leadership, the staff of Helms Mulliss & Wicker’s Raleigh office has grown more than 100 percent in one year.  In addition to Paulson’s management role, he continues to be a legal practitioner. Daily, he serves clients by applying his extensive experience in: mergers and acquisitions, healthcare transactions, private equity, corporate finance, strategic alliances, joint ventures, complex business transactions, as well as corporate boards and executive management counseling.

“Being named a Triangle ‘Mover and Shaker’ is a honor,” said Paulson.  “When we opened the Raleigh office, our primary focus was providing legal counsel for the Triangle’s leading businesses.  It’s been exciting to watch the growth of the office.”

Since 2004, Paulson has served on the Board of Trustees for the University of North Carolina Center for Public Television (UNC-TV).  In addition, Paulson is a Board of Directors member for the Durham Nativity School, a non-profit private school for inner-city boys grades 6-8.  He also is active with association memberships with the Christ Church in Raleigh, North Carolina Bankers Association (NCBA), the Center of Entrepreneurial Development (CED) and the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
