TORONTO, ON, September 12, 2007 – GS1 Canada, Canada’s experts in collaborative commerce and global standards, remind you that Friday, September 14, 2007 is the deadline to submit nominations for GS1 Canada’s Supply Chain Efficiency Award.
Announced at Grocery Innovations Canada 2005 (GIC), Canada’s premier grocery industry exposition and conference, the award is designed to recognize members of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG) who have successfully introduced a standards-based, technology solution within their organization’
In addition to being a CFIG member, criteria for judging the solution includes (but is not limited to) addressing suppliers or trading partners, assisting with organization transformation, cost savings, efficiency improvements, enhanced customer service, improved organizational effectiveness, improved sales or revenues and time savings.
The winner will receive:
· Recognition as a supply chain innovator and leader
· An award/plaque for display
· Extensive coverage of their organization and solution through various forms of marketing and communications techniques, including exposure in various print and web media (i.e. GS1 Canada website, national trade publications etc.)
· License to an award seal for promotional purposes, and
· GS1 Canada complimentary membership for a three-year period ($3,000 value)
Potential finalists will be contacted via telephone to answer a series of questions concerning the implementation of their solution.
