It doesn't stray far from the title, and tells the truth about being born black, and living in America. The piece covers a wide range of topics, and what it lacks in length, it more than makes up for in depth.
While there have been many books written on the state of Black America, most are only opinionated versions, written by celebrities, looking through rose-colored glasses. Most of those other versions offer little or no insight or investigative analysis.
Mr. Armstrong offers a comprehensive analysis, based on factual, documented data. Furthermore, his opinions, interpretations and conclusions are in direct correlation to past and present events. Finally, unlike other books written on this topic, the author presents the only viable solution to the problems facing African Americans. This is a must read for every African American.
