The Chief Risk Officer ( CRO ) of such an organization for a country like India requires the ability to take a holistic view of the risks that might affect operations anywhere in the company.
Citi India has ended the CRO search by naming a seasoned professional both in Risk and Finance who has rich experience as Asia Pacific Chief Financial Officer as well as Chief Operating Officer for the Global Consumer Group of Citi in addition to over seventeen years experience in various capacities such as Regional Risk Director with Bank of America.
He is none other than Proud to be a BITSian Rahul Gupta who studied at Birla Institute of Technology and Science ( BITS ) Pilani Rajasthan India during 1967 to 1972 and got his B.E. ( Hons ) Electrical Engineering degree.
In a brief chat with BITSAA ( BITS Alumni Association ) on 07 Sep 2007, Rahul said that he still cherishes the memories of his stay at Pilani and thanked his Alma Mater BITS Pilani with motto Knowledge is Power Supreme for the interdisciplinary education which is strong in fundamentals and rich in analytical tools for making him what he is today.
