Dallas, TX – September 7, 2007 – More than 140 sick and infirmed children received their own personal teddy bear at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Credit Solutions announced today. In honor of National Teddy Bear Day, Credit Solutions’ employees donated the teddy bears to “bring a smile to a child.” The donations provided the children a positive, personal and unique keepsake to brighten their day, to comfort them and to take home when they leave the hospital.
Credit Solutions’ employees distributed the bears to the children at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, the premier pediatric healthcare provider in the Dallas area and one of the largest in the nation. It is the only academic healthcare facility in North Texas dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children.
“It just makes it easier for the children if they have a new friend after surgery,” said Danette Tidwell, administrative assistant at Children’s Medical Center. “It comforts the children,” she said.
In exchange for the donations, Credit Solutions offered employees the opportunity to wear jeans and to show fan support by wearing their favorite team jersey on September 6. This builds employees’ morale by giving to the children and by building team unity.
