Complimentary “Fall Screenings” for Boca, Delray, and Boynton Seniors

Sept. 10, 2007 - PRLog -- DELRAY BEACH, FL--Pro Motion Rehab, a physical therapy ‘house call’ company announces free “Fall Screenings” during September and October for the over 65 population residing in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach.
   It is estimated that treatment for catastrophic injuries resulting from accidental falls has reached an all time high of well over $20 billion a year.*  Falls often result in permanent disability and are the leading cause of death from injury among people 65 and over.
Tim Mertz, MPT ATC, a physical therapist and President of Pro Motion Rehabilitation comments, “Many of these falls can be prevented if the individual is willing to make some small changes to their living area and lifestyle.   The first step is early detection.  Physical therapists can then train the collateral systems of the body to compensate for unsteadiness, and prevent falls.”
