The Irish Georgian Society, in association with Limerick County Council will host a photograph opportunity to mark the launch of a Traditional Building and Conservation Skills Exhibition on the front steps of The Village Hall in Adare village at 10.30am on Saturday 8th Sept 2007. Photograph and interview opportunities will also be provided throughout the exhibition on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 2007, from 10.00a.m to 5.00p.m daily.
WHO:
Cllr. Kevin Sheehan, Cathaoirleach of Limerick County Council will officially launch the event. Also present at the photocall will be Desmond Fitzgerald, the Knight of Glin and President of the Irish Georgian Society; Tom Cassidy, Conservation Officer, Limerick County Council; Emmeline Henderson, Conservation Research Manager, Irish Georgian Society; Tom Enright, Director of Planning & Development Services, Limerick County Council. Craftspeople and skilled tradesmen will be on hand to demonstrate traditional building and conservation skills, and to deliver a series of talks and lectures on aspects of
architectural conservation at Adare Heritage Centre.
