SYDNEY, 6 September 2007 – Samsung Electronics Australia hosted CE and Mobile Phone Dealers at an annual event that sees some of the best snowboarders in the world igniting the slopes at Perisher Blue. The Boost SnoSho event presented by Samsung Mobile was held on September 1st and set the scene for world records, high flying snowboard action and an opportunity to combine work and play with Optus, Boost Mobile and CE customers.
Samsung’s support of the event builds on an existing strong relationship with Boost Mobile. The partnership at the event helps Samsung to align with younger people in the market for pre-paid phones that are also style-conscious and lead active lifestyles.

The Boost SnoSho presented by Samsung also provided a great opportunity to give customers a sneak peak at the new MP3 Player range. Being launched in Australia in October the new Samsung MP3 Players combine awesome design, incredible sound and convenient connectivity options. Millimeters have been shaved off, forming Samsung’s slimmest MP3 player range yet, and all models are stereo Bluetooth-enabled and have FM radios. The new models offer up to 35 hours of comfortable, convenient and wireless quality listening.

The Boost SnoSho presented by Samsung mobile featured four huge tower structures, a scaffold in ramp, concert style lighting, pyrotechnics, a concrete topped jam rail ledge, the world’s best snowboarders and over $36,000 in cash and prizes. In between attempting their own displays of brilliance on the slopes, a handful of fortunate Samsung customers enjoyed a spectacular show of jumps, airs, flips, rails and grinds and also stood witness to Perisher Blue Snow instructor, Ryan Thorley, smash a world record on the rail.
