MORRISVILLE, N.C. (Sept. 5, 2007) — MSA: The Think Agency, a full-service, integrated marketing communications firm and part of Think Partnership’
The agency recently redesigned the foundation’s Web site at http://www.walkforhope.com. MSA will also provide traditional and interactive advertising, as well as creative and public relations services to assist the foundation and the 19th Annual Thad and Alice Eure Walk for Hope, scheduled for Oct. 14.
MSA updated the Web site with a fresh, user-friendly design and added several new sections, making the site more interactive and providing increased information about mental illness.
“We are so excited about the enhanced Web site,” stated Bebee Bason Lee, executive director of the Foundation of Hope. “The new site is a more comprehensive informational resource, as well as an outlet for sharing personal stories. The ‘Why I Walk’ section has quickly become popular; each day we are touched by the testimonials people submit. They reaffirm why this fundraiser is so important.”
Anyone can visit http://www.walkforhope.com and submit a “Why I Walk” testimonial, anonymously or including a name, to be posted on the Web site.
Visitors to the site will also be able learn more about the research the foundation’s efforts fund or link to additional sites to learn more about mental illness. Other new features include an events section, where the public can learn about further opportunities to contribute; a list of fundraising ideas; and a catalog of press releases announcing current and past foundation news.
Lee added, “Of course, people can still learn about our annual Walk for Hope fundraiser, register to participate and make donations via the new Web site.”
Founded in 1984, the Foundation of Hope for Research and Treatment of Mental Illness is a nonprofit philanthropic organization dedicated to funding breakthroughs in the treatment of mental illness. The Walk for Hope is the foundation’s only annual fundraiser and the country’s only annual community walk that raises funds for the research and treatment of mental illness.
Since 1988, the Walk for Hope has funded more than $2.5 million in local research projects and treatment programs, and has leveraged an additional $100 million for local research through federal grants from national mental health organizations.
