CONSERVATIVE TEACHER PUBLISHES DEBUT BOOK FROM BEHIND ENEMY LINES
America's public schools are sinking into a pit of socialist despair.  Conservative teachers are forced to hide their thoughts and feelings or risk being ostracized by their Marxist peers and supervisors.  Well no more!  Author and teacher, Marc Howard of Grand Terrace, has exposed the world of the current generation of school age children, dubbing them Generation XXX.  Through humorous anecdotal accounts of the modern American child, Marc has brought to light the world created by the implementation of liberal philosophies within our society in his debut book, Behind Enemy Lines: A Conservative Teacher's Observations of Generation XXX (216 pp., $14.95)
Behind Enemy Lines takes the reader into the world of the modern teenager and the young adult from a first person perspective.  Howard deals with such issues as the effects mass media and the world of entertainment have on children, language, views toward sexuality, and how our youth treat their peers and those in positions of authority.  In addition to pointing out the negative aspects of a generation he likes to refer to as Generation XXX, Marc Howard offers advice to care givers for raising their children to be self sufficient and honorable people.
Marc Howard's mission is simple; to educate parents, grand parents, and future parents on the current cultural conditions which influence our children on a daily basis.  Marc wants to open the eyes of the American people, both conservative and liberal, who may or may not know what goes on in the modern world of American children.  By exposing the current depravity apparent in the lifestyle of the modern American youth he hopes to empower parents, future parents, and all care givers, in order to reclaim their children from the world of Generation XXX.
Marc Howard is only one voice speaking for millions of others.  Through a collective effort by Americans who wish to restore the United States to her once great glory, he believes we can once more make this nation a place we want our children to inherit.  Furthermore, he believes before we can do this, we have to wake America up and expose the reality of the world we have created.  Without honestly looking at our failures we can not overcome them, and the failures of our society are made apparent in the lifestyle of our children.
Marc Howard received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from California State Polytechnic University Pomona in 1998 and a Master of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from California State University San Bernardino in 2002.  Marc has taught in California's public school system for over nine years.  He currently teaches American History and AVID at a title one school and enjoys working with at risk students.  Although he admits he was fairly liberal in his personal philosophies and politics as a young teacher, he credits his conservative views to years of teaching and working with students from extremely diverse backgrounds and value systems.
In addition to his teaching experience, Marc has coached youth soccer in both recreational and competitive settings with children ranging in age from four to eighteen.  He has worked with hundreds of players over a twelve year period in a variety of socioeconomic settings.  Marc has been married for seven years and has two sons.
