Horacio Heguy at Polo & Fashion Charity Challenge - Argentina
The second edition of the Polo & Fashion Charity Challenge was played at the Cerro Catedral Stadium, Plaza Catalina Reynal (Bariloche – Argentina). In a pre-game ceremony, the Mountain Military Band performed Argentina’s National Anthem to welcome international players, patrons and celebrities to the exhibition tournament.
Defending champion Personal Polo Team used a balanced attack to defeat Imperial Polo Team 5- 4 before 5000 spectators. “It’s always fun to play on snow, especially for a good cause like this,” said Horacito Heguy, who scored the winning goal.
Eight competitive teams featured renowned polo players: Santiago Trotz, Julio Novillo Astrada, Ricardo Fanelli, Benjamin Araya, Rodolfo Busquet, Buqui Pistone, Martin De Narvaez and Alfonso Pieres. The Snow Tournament attracted many celebrities. Actors, producers and sportsmen were invited to play along with pros.
Proceeds from the event benefited F.U.N.I (Asociación de Ayuda al Niño) in Buenos Aires, a foundation created to study serious infectious diseases that affect children in developing countries.

The player of the match was, without question, Horacio Heguy, who played for the first time on the southern snow Stadium. He scored 8 goals. After the match he received all the imaginable awards. He showed again why he’s one of the best polo players in the history of this rugged sport.
Snow Polo & Fashion Charity Challenge was organized by Global Fashion Group, under the auspices of the European Club and the Government of Rio Negro, in collaboration with the Medellin Polo Club.
Polo & Fashion events combine sport, entertainment and celebrity, enabling Global Fashion Group to donate important amounts to a range of causes that provide young people, particularly those with special needs in Argentina, with humanitarian help.
The Polo & Fashion Tour starts every December at the Argentine Open in Palermo, continues in Punta Del Este (Uruguay) with a Night Polo Match Celebration, performs on the sand at the Miami Beach Polo World Cup and the Snow Edition held in Bariloche.
