CINCINNATI – August 28, 2007 – The Thank You Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to honoring veterans and active duty service members, today announced that it is having a benefit for Corporal Joel Dulashanti of Forest Park on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 6-10 p.m. at the Chuck Cain VFW Post 7670 (4021 Hamilton-Trenton Rd in Hamilton, Ohio). Cpl Dulashanti was severely wounded in Afghanistan in May 2007, and as a result, his right leg was amputated from the knee down.
The featured entertainment for the evening will be a “Tribute to Elvis” starring Paul Halverstadt. Halverstadt a Cincinnati native, has competed and placed in several Elvis Tribute Artist contest and was a finalist in the Images of the King competition in Memphis in 2004. Tickets may be purchased in advance and are $25.00 per person and $35.00 per couple. Admission includes entertainment, food and 2 drink tickets. The Dulashantis are currently residing at the Mologne House on the grounds of Walter Reed Army Medical Center while Joel goes through physical and occupational therapy. As a result of Joel’s treatment, the Dulashantis will not be able to attend the benefit.
