The portal provides daily up-to-the-minute news, and exhorts readers to contribute. “We have a “Top 10 NEWS” contest wherein ten stories are selected on the basis of the interest they evoke and the comments they get. Out of these user submitted ten stories, the best two reporters get the cash prize,” adds Mehta.
Have a look at the prize money – Rs 10,000 for the winner and Rs 5000 for the runner-up. And there’s more to come, confirms Mehta, “Based on the feedback and response to the first contest, we would like to increase the prizes from the next one. In fact, this is just a trial contest and we expect to fetch good response for it.”
